The Chandra house was already awake.

Steel plates clinked against one another, the sharp metallic sound cutting through the low hum of morning prayers. Women moved from room to room, whispering instructions, correcting each other's dupattas, arguing over which plate should go first. Men paced around the courtyard and living room, pretending to be calm while checking the time every five minutes.

There's a lollipop there-bright wrapper, already unwrapped, like he wants people to notice it. She glances at it once. Then again. He notices. "What?" he asks, amused. She points at it. "What flavour is that?" He raises an eyebrow, clearly entertained. Instead of answering, he smirks and pops it into his mouth, lips closing around the stick slowly, on purpose. She frowns. "That's not an answer." He steps closer. Just one step. Enough to make her look up. Before she can react, he leans in and kisses her. It's quick. Soft. Almost teasing. For a second, she doesn't push him away. Her mind goes blank, heart jumping straight into her throat. There's a taste-sweet, light- Blueberry. Her eyes widen and she immediately presses her hand to his shoulder, pushing him back just a little. "What is wrong with you?" she blurts out, shocked. He pulls back easily, completely relaxed, that stupid smug smile already on his face. "Blueberry," he says. She stares at him, speechless, face heating up fast. He just chuckles, clearly pleased with himself.

Anushka wanted one thing from her best friend’s wedding a break from deadlines, coding, and life in general. What she didn’t want? A run-in with Major Kabir Suryavanshi- the groom’s best man, the human definition of “don’t talk to me,” and the man who mistakes her confidence for attitude within five seconds of meeting her. But fate, being the messy drama queen it is, keeps pushing them into the same frame. And somewhere between playful arguments and silent observations… something begins to shift. Kabir is a man built of discipline, secrets, and quiet wounds. Anushka reads people the way she reads code precisely, deeply, dangerously. He tells himself she’s a distraction. She tells herself he’s impossible. And yet… they both keep orbiting around each other like it’s inevitable. Just when their hearts finally start to sync, Kabir is deployed on a mission that could change everything. No promises. No certainty. Only a name he leaves behind....hers. And while the nation waits for its soldier to return, she waits for the man who somehow became home. A story of slow-burn sparks, wedding chaos, encrypted feelings, and a love strong enough to survive borders, silence, and war. Some missions are classified. Some are unavoidable. And some… are written in the heart. His? Code Name: You.
